This mobility made us show our endurance. Our hosts helped us survive the freezing weather by keeping us warm with their hospitality and a bunch of activities that we will never forget.
Our first day started with a welcome ceremony in our partner school. It was followed by a tour around the city of Kedaini and to end the day we attended a basketball game of the Lithuanian Professional League between the home team Nevezis vs Dzukija.
The second day was a day full of sports activities that included 2 hours of activities in a sports center, and bowling. Besides this, we visited the picturesque town of Raudondvaris where we learned about the importance of Amber in the region.
On the third day, we learned about the history of the Town of Kaunas by taking part in a treasure hunt in the Kaunas Castle. After lunch, students had so much fun playing interactive games at Hello Park. This day finished with a visit to Kaunas Main Square and the beautiful Christmas tree.
The fourth day was the day to say bye to Kedaini. We went back to the sports center where we played games and danced together. The award ceremony took place there. After a much needed lunch, we had so much fun baking bread based on an ancient recipe kept by a lovely baker in the village of Krekenava, who made us feel like home.
On the last day, we went sightseeing in Trakai, where we went to an amazing castle in the middle of a frozen lake. After that, we moved to the capital of Lithuania, Vilnius. There, we got into the Interactive Toy Museum that made us realize how similar ancient games are compared to contemporary games. We had lunch in the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania and went into the Crypts of the most famous cathedral in Luthainia.
We believe all students involved in this and the other mobilities will remember their experience dearly for the rest of their lives.
Next stop, Rijeka!
